The latter will coach the scholarship holders during the entire duration of the Choral Academy, providing targeted vocal training that is entirely tailored to the individual needs and requirements of professional vocal ensemble work and its literature.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>up to four hours of rehearsals each day under the direction of Prof. Georg Gr\u00fcn, during which active coaching of the professional singers will take place<\/li>\n<li>Up to three hours of choral practice under the direction of the tutor or active participants of the conducting academy (in any event only after appropriate preparation of the choral practice by the tutor)<\/li>\n<li>large concluding concert to be recorded by Saarland Broadcasting Corporation \u2013 SR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Choral Academy will work closely with the Conductors&#8217; Academy headed by Prof. Georg Gr\u00fcn.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the lessons and rehearsals within this year&#8217;s Summer School will be offered for the first time to students from other German and European music academies via Internet video transmission. Seminars, lectures and rehearsals by external lecturers from abroad are also made available for the participants of the summer school.<\/p>\n<p>The final concert of the two academies will take place on <strong>Friday, September 4, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.<\/strong> in the HfM concert hall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Target group<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Choral Academy is aimed primarily at singers aged between 16 and 26 years who<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>wish to experience choral work on a high level that exceeds that required by amateur choirs and which approaches the semi-professional level<\/li>\n<li>are interested in enrolling for a university degree in singing<\/li>\n<li>who hope to gain new impetus from completing professional choral work at the HfM University of Music Saar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Application procedure<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed application form (web from)<\/li>\n<li>CV<\/li>\n<li>Letter of motivation<\/li>\n<li>Recent video recording of a singing performance as a soloist (max. 10 minutes, two pieces from different eras)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Complete application documents should be uploaded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hfmsaar-summerschool.de\/en\/\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: <strong>30 June 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Selection of Participants<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The artistic directors will select from among the candidates six active participants per vocal group.<\/p>\n<p>Once the artistic management has selected the participants in the Choral Academy, applicants will be notified in writing.<\/p>\n<p><b>Active participants:<\/b><br \/>\nActive participants will receive an invitation letter along with two forms relating to image and music rights and a form for confirming attendance. All three must be returned completed and signed by the stated deadline. Enrolment is binding after payment of the enrolment fee for the respective academy (see below).<\/p>\n<p><b>Passive participants:<\/b><br \/>\nPassive participation in the Choral Academy is also possible. This must be specified on the application form. Passive participants will receive a form for confirming attendance. This must be completed, signed and returned by the stated deadline. Enrolment is binding after payment of the enrolment fee for the respective academy (see below).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Costs<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p>For the active and the passive participants only\u00a0 costs for food and administration in the amount of 100 euros are incurred.
