Trombones and choral singers have one thing in common: they usually do not appear individually. The trombone academy takes this circumstance into account and places chamber music at the center of the academy week. In addition to the development of various key works of trombone ensemble literature, several works for choir and trombone are rehearsed in collaboration with the Conductors and Choral Academy, which is led by Prof. Georg Grün.

  • Daily private lessons with one of the instructors
  • Study of key works of trombone quartet literature
  • Daily rehearsals in the large trombone ensemble and trombone octet
  • Development of the above mentioned works for choir and trombones
  • Large final concert together with the Conductors and Choral Academy with recording by the Saarländische Rundfunk
  • If interested, lessons on historical instruments

The Trumpet Academy is aimed at:

  • Students in trombone or baroque trombone who want to get closer to the goal of a professional trombonist career through intensive work in the field of chamber music
  • Young trombonists with ambitions for a university degree in trombone or baroque trombone
